I’d also say that its good practice to have product and engineering to write a single customer facing sentences describing the feature or fix as they work the issue. This can help ensure the internal team are aligned. AND, you can more easily automate release notes with each push.  
I like the added screen shot, video, or animated gif but they aren’t as nessisary.
