# Is it possible to change the color of text for specified fields when they display in the app?

For example, I would like changes to display either in bold red, or with a red background and in white text, so that these changes boldly stand out when my team members look at an entry where changes have taken place.

You cannot change the color of text to red.

You can however change the display of a text or image column based on the status of an item:

- Text: Use emojis 🔴🟠🟡🟢⚫ in a text column and an If-Then-Else column.
- Image:
  - Use the Hero Icons columns. You might like this: you can change the color of the icon, the color of its background. Note that the output of this column is an image.
  - Use a basic image column with different images (such as the emojis above) and an If-Then-Else column.

Not directly related to your request, note that you can also leverage the different colors of the Hint Text component.
