# Is computed column with user profile information user-specific?

Hello,

I have a template column that combines the user’s email with another column to create a combined column. There is no option for setting a template column to be user-specific, but I assume this is what is happening. But I just wanted to double check on whether there are any hidden implications to defining a template column using the user profile information this way. Is it implied that a column using user information is user-specific? Or are there any differences between these concepts?

You’re correct. If you use a template column to combine a value from the User Profile table, then it will inheratantly be user-specific because the user profile table will always refer to the signed in user.
