# In-app filter count

It would be great if the in-app filter could output a count of items shown when the filter is applied.

I’ve set up a custom filter to do this but it requires quite a few columns and components with visibility settings to work (especially when you want to filter by more than one category). Custom filters also consume updates via the user specific Set Column actions that drive them (I assume the in-app filter doesn’t use updates?)
