# Images from Facebook don't appear constantly

I noticed that whenever I use an image URL from a website in my app it works well but when I get the URL from a picture on Facebook it only appears for some weeks and then it doesn’t display unless I copy and paste the URL again.
What can be the source of this problem? Because I’ve had to get the URL again and again even when the picture posted on FB has never been deleted. Thanks for your answer guys.

Check any parameters that are tagged on to the end of the URL string. There might be an expiry date hidden in there somewhere.

Facebook does not want you to do this—they only want images to be viewed on Facebook, where you can also see ads. They expire images for this reason and others.
