# I still don't get the public vs private users

When you make your app Private you are essentially creating a ‘White List’ of users who have access. That is to say by default NO ONE has access to the app and only those given permission can enter.

Public users means your app and link will open for anyone. E.g. anyone who visits your page can go through a sign in process and is not limited to the ‘White List’.

The third one is Visitors… anyone can visit your app and without sign-in
