# How to store one variable in Glide?

Hi,  
I think it’s basic question, but I don’t understand how to store 1 variable for all users.  
I just want make some limitations for all of them.  
Is it good to place one number in all rows? 🤷🏼

Template will do the trick, as Jeff suggested.  
But if it’s a number that’s needed, I will usually use a Math column. Just enter the number with no formula.

This is probably better for numbers, because if you need to do any subsequent computations using that value, it _will_ be treated as a number. For example, if you used a template for your default, you wouldn’t be able to do a Rollup-\>Sum on that column as it would be treated by Glide as text.
