Since “Add to home screen” popup is not working on browsers like Facebook’s and others, is there a way to maybe add a in-app button for this purpose? Or something similar so when user clicks on our ad on Facebook they can install the app without any hustle.

They will still need to ultimately open the app on chrome or safari on their respective OS. Facebook’s browser doesn’t work with PWA’s, so instead of popup to install, you would probably be better off with a text component of one time instructions to open in the proper browser, that can be later hidden via a checkbox and a user specific column.
