# How to make the map static or frozen?

Hi everyone,

For the map component, I can disable zoom, but users can still touch and move the map. I still want the user to interact with the locations on the map, but I don’t want them to be able to move the map so the locations disappear. Is there any way to make the map completely static or frozen while keeping the locations interactive?

I think your best bet would have to be configuring a Mapbox embed yourself, and disable `dragPan` or set a bound for your map:
