# How do you notify users when a new comment has been posted?

With push notifications deprecated, how do you guys notify your users when someone posted a new comment or announce a new event?

I heard some uses emails to make announcement. But it’s silly to use for comments.

Either emails/SMS but I usually put a notification window for it. If the previous comment is less than X minutes before the current comment, I don’t send a notification (implying a convo is going on).
