# Handling NA in ratings

Hello,
I am using the ratings component for a report card. Some questions are Not Applicable and my plan is to allow the user to leave them blank. The issue is that if the user accidently selects a star they cannot unselect it. Is this a bug or it is by design and if it is by design how do I allow users to leave a certain rating blank after accidently selecting a star?

Unfortunately it is by design. I wonder if it can be changed easily @SantiagoPerez .

I suggest creating a feature request.
