# Glide is slow with Images

Glide seems to be really slow for applications which have many images.

What is the solution?  
Is it more premium hosting? Compression? What are the limitations, how many images can it handle?

And why is it happening?

This was reinforced during a conversation with support a while back, they told me the reason my app is slow is due to the images.

I guess compression should work. It might be better from the 2nd time your users load the app on their device, since the images would be cached.
