# Glide in Dubai - Access Issues

Can I ask if anybody has issues with access to the Glide Platform (GDE) and Glide apps from within Dubai or indeed anywhere within the UAE? We are seeing some issues with a customer requiring a VPN to access and I wondered if this was typical for the region?

Glide is fine today in Qatar. I am sure from Syria it only works with a VPN, the apps and the editor even the dashboard.
So definitely Glide does have location restrictions. I don’t think they would place restrictions on UAE but check if the customer isn’t on travel or a restriction by Glide was made by mistake

I am aware that UAE filters incoming internet traffic - or at least they used to - in a similar way that China does. Beyond that I don’t really know any details.
Quick search turned the below up - but I assume you’ve probably already found this?
