# Glide Chat

Why is the glide Chat function so bad compared to everything else? It looks odd and you can only send a text message. You can also only send a message to everyone. Is there a way to make this better, or what do you guys do in your apps?

I almost always make my own Chat function, at the expense of rows count.

hehe yes, I’ve been thinking for a while that Chat would be an ideal use case for that approach.  
I’ve been wanting to build something out, but finding the time is a challenge.
