@david what is the paid app/free app ratio to users on glide? I honestly thought that every user had at least 1 paid app but reading recent posts I am beginnig to think its closer to only 50 or 60%.
The vast majority of Glide apps are free. We expect this will always be true.
We only get upset when businesses rely on our free plan for production apps. I got a frantic support phone call on the day after Christmas from a business with 50 critical apps, on the free plan. Pay up!
@david LMAO, thats crazy. But what would you say the ratio is like 1 paid app for every 4 accounts, or is it more? I think a good solution for that would be to advertise on the Glide site, some ad banners. Pro apps dont show the banners on the site and free apps do. It provides you with some revenue to make up for the free product we use.
There isnβt, the 2,000 row limitation is fake
Mandatory advertising on the 30+ apps I have created would cause me to leave glide and head to appsheet (which I hate, but, hey - no ads there). Perhaps if there was an ad component, then maybe free apps would have glide take 30% of the revenue, and Pro apps would have glide take 10% of the revenue. But adding ads, in my opinion, should be optional.
Ads donβt work as well as you seem to think. Weβre not interested in ads.
The ads wouldnβt be on the app as I mentioned it would be on the website as we are creating. We would see ads in our editor around the edges or at the very bottom where there is extra space.
They could do this for free apps to help make money for them.
