Hey folks, so it’s still a work in progress but happy to announce the early launch of [frend.social](https://frend.social) , a different approach to promoting safe social media for young children.

This is our mascot, Frendy 🙂

Some of the differentiating features when compared to the larger platforms :

• School-Centric Network: Only students from the same school can join.  
• Parental Control: Parents manage their child’s account.  
• Public Content Only: No private messaging.  
• AI Moderation: Advanced AI filters inappropriate content.  
• Ad-Free Experience: No advertisements.  
• Privacy Protection: No personal information collected.

Friendly reminder that Glide’s [terms of service](https://www.glideapps.com/legal/terms) exclude anyone under the age of 13 from using the platform. Individuals between the ages of 13 and 18 can use the platform with the consent/approval of a parent or guardian. 🙂

Hey! 👋 I love the idea behind frend.social, it sounds like a perfect way to help kids safely interact online. I’d really like my child to join the app when it’s ready! How do I let them join the app?

It’s amazing that you’re focusing on privacy, security, and keeping things ad-free 🙌. Definitely looking forward to seeing how it develops! Keep up the awesome work!
