I’d like to create a template that contains pro-pricing features (e.g., whitelist), but pay for it only when the app is live, not when it is just a template.
There are a couple of use cases for this:
- I’m developing/testing the app, it’s not in production. This is when I would pay.
- I want users to be able to copy the template, and the monthly charges happen when it is copied.

As far as the difference between public with email and whitelist, the change is very small and would only require you to change the privacy settings and point it to a sheet with a list of emails. Something that can be done in less than a minute. I imagine that is just something you can explain when sharing the template. In reality, a person can do whatever they want with an app that’s copied from a template.
