# Forms - Unable to submit with single optional field

I’ve found that when a Form has only a single data entry field (ie: Text, Notes, Date, etc) that is NOT marked as required, it still treats it as required and won’t allow the user to submit until they enter a value. For now a workaround is adding another hidden field or entering a default value (ie: a single space), but this is counterintuitive to the average user and should be fixed.
