Hi friends - I’m having trouble with the way my images are displaying in the title component. Is there a way to edit them that I am just not seeing, or is there a specific aspect ratio that I need to use?

Thanks!

Make sure your images have this settings:

I’m not seeing those options… all that I have is a dropdown for “Image Is”

Ok, then change here the size of the image, so you can see the whole image on your list.

The title component doesn’t have setting to adjust the image. You are best off making your image as close to square as possible, or at least a 3:2 or 4:3 ratio. I’m not sure what is the proper ratio for the title component, but I’m guessing it’s close to 4:3. You will have to do this is some kind of image editor.

@eltintero is showing options for the Image component and Tile list layout.

Ideally face gravity would be an option for the title component, but I don’t think it is.

The best format seems to be 3:4. Square image size cuts out some of the image.

It would be really nice if it was possible to select the image size ourselves as too many different image sizes makes the job of creating a consistent app more difficult

One hacky thing you can do is to create a relation from the record back to itself, then display the relation as an inline list with a tile layout. This gives you all of the sizing and overlay features of a tile, but in something that can be used like a title component. The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t stretch a tile edge to edge on the screen like you can with the title component.
