# Form not recognizing Text Entry & Number Entry Required

Since the update to the Text Entry component (perhaps since the Number Entry update), “Required” is no longer being recognized as a required field by the form. Perhaps it’s the addition of the new Default Value parameter that makes the form think there’s something there even if there isn’t? I tested it with the Number Entry component, and I’m getting the same bug there too. Tested it with every other component with a Required option and those are the only two with the problem.

Here’s an example of the bug on your Finstagram template app. Go to the Profile tab where I’ve put a form with Text Entry, Number Entry, and a Checkbox. All are set to required. But if you just click the checkbox, you’ll notice the form’s Submit button comes on.
