# Enable private chats where only users see the messages

I wanted to build a chat via the chat component but I wanted the users to be able to chat without me as the app developer being able to see their chats? Some kind of end-to-end encryption I guess (or maybe not)?
Basically a way for users to chat or comments and me as the developer have those comments as a string or something. Something similar to what happens with user emails if you choose to hide them.
