# Edit / New Form Title Not Dynamic with Custom

The Title field for Edit / New Forms does not work like a Collection does where you can use Custom text as well as field / column values.

Here you can see dynamic values don’t work on the Form

I’m not sure I’d classify that as a bug, but rather an unsupported use case.  
What you can do if you want a dynamic title is create a template column in the Data Editor, and refer to that.

Since it happens nearly everywhere else where you can have custom / combined fields I feel like it’s a miss or bug to not work like all the others.

However, appreciate the hint for the template column.

I won’t say it is a bug. I would rather say that inline template are new and that they are not compatible with everything field yet! 😊
