# Does the Glide API support forced sync?

Does the Glide API support forced sync?

We wanted to try automating the sync of our Excel sheet.

There was a workaround I used a while ago: to use a set column action in the app to write to the database some value, let’s say the current time.

That would force a sync, per point 3.

Not sure if the Glide API writing to your Google Sheets/Airtable/Excel sheet would force that sync.
