# Different layout when using details list versus card list

Is it possible to have the same layout when using this two types of lists?

This become and issue when using the desktop/tablet view. I’d like to have the bottom layout of the image when using Details style + cards inline list.

I believe this is by design, as the layout in your bottom picture is intended to display the details of each list item on the right side of the screen when clicked. This only works this way when the area on the left is a defined layout style, not a details view that could contain any other information/components.
