# Design - Zoom option for Large Map View

Using the map style layout, is there a way currently to a default view that is zoomed in?

Similar how you have options for the map component under design - zoom.

I have a lot of pins and it would be great to be able to set the default view if that is possible when using the map style layout. If we can’t set a default view, having some option to zoom in a few options would be great.

I would like people to be able to explore local places but when I take them to the map it shows the world. They have to tap the current location button and then zoom out - it’s clumsy. I also imagine that once I have a lot of locations in my database that the world view may take a performance hit.
