# Definition of a Private App

Does Glide or any of the Experts/consultants have a formal definition for what a ‘private app’ is and especially in relation to Glide?

I do.

_“If your App requires sign in, and you restrict who can sign in, then your App is private.”_

That’s only my personal definition, but it works for me and I believe it’s technically correct.
