# Date recognize

The calendar recognizes the date obtained by the Today () formula incorrectly by swapping the month and day ☹  
in the example, instead of 01.12, the calendar shows 12.01

Can you help me with the translation of your date value. Is it something like Friday 1 November 2019? If so, it looks like you have have changed the column formatting in the sheet. I usually have better luck leaving the column formatting alone and then creating a new column that uses `=Text(A1, "YYYYMMDD")` or however you would translate. Basically reformatting the date to Year, Month, Day format. I think Glide works best if it can see the date as year/month/day or month/day/year. I think year/month/day is just easier for everybody to understand worldwide.
