# Date Not Displaying in App

I added a Date Component to on my Edit screen so that teachers can add a birth date to their student’s profile. In the Data editor in Glide, by default, it added the column as a text column type. So, I clicked on edit within the Data editor, and changed the column type to Date column type. But, still not seeing the Date displayed in the app though.

So is it just not appearing in a text component?
