# Data variable into custom CSS

Hello,

At the moment I edit the card background colour using the glide variable

–gv-bg-front: #0c1322;

in custom CSS

i was wondering if there was a way to declare the hex code by user ? either in the custom css itself or ideally the user inputs their preferred hex code in their profile for example.

Any ideas on the feasibility of this?

I don’t think you can do that, it was one of those things you can do on Classic but maybe not in the newest version.
