# Data editor \> Row owner

Can a column that is marked as **Row Owner** only contain an email address?

Example: A client number _strong text_ be marked as Row Owner. Correct?

For now, yes. It has to be an email address OR a value specified by the userprofile \> role.

Ah right, so where role = userProfile:role type of thing, e.g. all admins
