# Customizing the map element

I feel the customization of the map was a topic that came up a fair bit prior to the transition to the new glide apps. Wanted to get the discussion going again.  
How are people finding work arounds to customize their maps?

At the moment through using CSS classes I’ve managed to customize the markers though with some limitations. Ive also managed to play with the szie of the mapbox element and make it closer to full screen on mobile.  
I know a few members have projects heavily involved with maps but unsure if they have made the transition to the new Glide Apps, wanted to get the dicussion going and see what people have managed to build and customize so far.
