# Components not showing in layout

I’m updating this app. For some reason, the components I select in the left column are not showing in the layout mode.  
Example: the attached screenshot shows I selected a text component which shows up in the detailed column on the right, but it does not display in the layout.  
I made sure there is underlying data, so that’s not the problem.  
Any thoughts about why this might happen?

That looks like you have some sort of multi-step form. Check the “Step 2 MODE” container, and I wouldn’t mind betting that you’ll find it has a visibility condition configured.

@Darren_Murphy U DA MAN!  
That’s exactly the problem, and that visibility condition has to be there for the form to work properly. So when I’m working on it I have to enter fake data if I want to see the next step.
