# Collect user's email address

If I replace the real user’s email addresses to virtual email addresses by selecting the Hide user email address in the setting, can i still use the Row ID function?

The rowID feature doesn’t have anything to do with collecting user’s email address. It will only affect things if you want to send emails.

If i collect the emails even setting in Hide user email address, and then sent email via Gmail my account, who knows? May i know What you are pointing at by ‘send email’?

I think what @ThinhDinh is saying is that your original question doesn’t make any sense because emails and RowID have nothing to do with each other.

The only thing that will change with a hidden email, is that you can’t use it to send messages to a user. Otherwise it works in the app just like a normal email would.
