# Choice default problem

I have a choice component on a page form. But I’m not able to type in a default value - specifically one of the choice values that I want to be the default. Am I missing something?

You will have to have the default choice pointing to a glide table. From there you can choose which column will contain your default and other choices. You can not type in defaults.
