# Can users download a file I upload for their use in the future

I was able to add a .pdf file for user to read and download if they like. If I do the same if a .png file, they don’t get an option to download. Is there a different way to do this or what way should I upload for users to view and download to their phones or computer?

If you want to force a download, you will have to construct an HTML link with a special ‘download’ attribute. Then display that link using a rich text component.
