# Can one make the title of a component a relation

When I add a component, for example a Text, and I want to make the content from a column that is a type “Relation”, it does not allow me - the option never shows up.

Because a relation is whole row, not a text string. What is your use case for this?

You have to create a lookup on top of your relation, then you can use it for your components.
