In my calendar i want my users to categories events and be displayed in different colors, based on the categorie. Under the calender element i want the different categories to be listed with the color it has on the calender. This should just be a visual help so the user can see what the different colors mean. Does anyone have a idea how i could do this?

yes exactly. The legend should show the categories with its corresponding color
