# Buttons sometimes work, sometimes hidden make the software unstable

1 button is working fine until today a couple of customers told me the button is hidden and I went to check. it’s really hidden

Carefully check each step in your action sequence, and ensure that each step is still valid and referencing columns that still exist. If the action returns an error, the button may be hidden.

That doesn’t change my advice.

Also, check viewing as different users in the builder. It could be that the issue is specific to some users.
