I go to a tab via the ‘menu’ and instead of the menu showing, there’s a back button.

To me that’s normal behavior. It’s always acted that way when navigating through the side menu. Otherwise there would be no way to navigate back to the main tabs at the bottom without the back button.

This is one of my posts from January. You can see in the attached images, that the side menu acted the same way.
