The Fields component is the direct replacement of the Basic Table component from long ago. The basic table component only exists in classic apps which have been deprecated for a couple years now. This is nothing new or related to a recent update.

On mobile sized devices the Fields component should look almost identical to how a basic table component looked in classic apps, but the Fields component does render differently on desktop sized devices in a way that’s more suitable for larger devices. I’d be interested in seeing a screenshot showing why you think the Fields component is not as clean or structured.

If you are are trying to recreate something yourself, I would suggest an HTML Table which you can display using the rich text component, or better yet use the custom AI component and ask it to create what you want.
