# Autofill date column is completing 2024 (type 1/9 \> 01/09/2024)

Autocompletion should be on 2025, but it’s only doing so before the month of august :

**How to replicate**

- On layout (data grid) or data table directly :
- Type 1/1 \> completion will be 01/01/2025
- Type then 01/09 \> auto completion will be 01/09/2024

It’s going to pick the closest date to today. It can only make a best guess what year you mean if you don’t specify a year. Either type the full date or use a date picker through the front end. This is the nature of javascript.
