# App or Website on Web Browser?

I am trying out Glide to see if I can use it for my new business. When I “Publish” my app it provides a link that I used in my phone’s web browser. It seems like a webpage more than an app. I was expecting to download an app for use. Just checking that I understand this correctly so I know whether to continue down this road or not. Thank you very much!

Glide apps are Progressive Web Apps (PWA). You can run them in a browser or install them. They are much like a web page, but they still have a lot of underlying code that runs locally on the device. An internet connection is required for then to run.
