# Airtable row order

David answered: “Airtable’s API does not tell us the ordering that you see in Airtable, so we’ve asked them to add this to the API. For now, you should specify sorting order when displaying your data.”

How is such specification performed?

It’s the sorting function coming with your collection setups when you display data on the frontend. The row order in the data view, as David explains, can not be specified.
