# Airtable API key deprecation notice

Afternoon,

I have just noticed this notice from AIRTABLE. “API keys are being deprecated in favor of the two new API Authentication methods. Both of these methods offer more granular control of resources and scopes and enable both developers and end-users to extend Airtable while ensuring the highest grade of security”

How does this impact my glide apps and what do I need to change in GLIDE to support this change?

I’ve been wondering something similiar! I think we have until Feb 2024 until its officially deprecated but my team and I want to start auditing and planning sooner rather than later.

Hi,  
Do we have an official statement by Glide telling us how to deal with this issue? We have operational application which cannot be stopped and we need to proact in advance.
