Yes, your approach is similar to the method I used in [Notification Badge](https://community.glideapps.com/t/notification-badge-in-new-glide/74295). However, what he want is within the fly-out menu.  
So far, I am able to create a transparent fly-out, but I haven’t been able to place other components over/inside it yet.
