# Action text vs Text entry

Hi all, could you please tell me what is the difference between an action text and a text entry?

I have created recently two of the same apps but for two different locations and I noticed that in the editable section on the app I have “action text” and in the second just “text entry”.

I checked the manual on the glide website but I didn’t understand that explanation.

Action Text only displays values. Text Entry allows you to enter and update values.

Hi Jeff! Thank you for your help.

Could you please tell me if there is a chance to add more action text to display? I mean I have an app, where I need to provide the numbers in the 7 different rows. However, when I finish editing and I click “done” app takes me to the display screen and I see only 2-4 rows.

App with the issue:

Do you mean adding more components to display data? You can just add new components on the left side panel.
