# 525 Error SSL Handshake

Hello! I’m getting an error from Cloudflare still 48 hours after setting up a custom domain. This is the error:

Cloudflare  
Error 525 – SSL handshake failed

Anyone else have this issue?

Had the same issue for CNAME with www. for my domain.

I moved the custom domain to a secondary domain that I own (aka from [mysite.com](http://mysite.com) to [mysiteapp.com](http://mysiteapp.com)) and lowered the SSL requirements on Cloudflare for the new domain. hopefully this is helpful for you.
