# 24h time format

Many of the users are saying this is set automatically according to the region you are in…well, it is not! I am in the Europe and getting 12h time format only. In my case, the last disqualifies the Glide as an app builder, as one just can’t offer 12 time format in the EU! As simple as that!

Dates and Times are stored in Glide as ISO8601 datetime objects.  
If you display a date or time value without applying any formatting, it will be interpreted and displayed by the users device according to their regional settings.

However, you can force the display of any format that you want. There are a number of techniques for doing this, probably the easiest is with the [Format Date](https://www.glideapps.com/plugins/format-date) column.

Example:
